The Dark n’ Stormy has become the official cocktail of Bermuda. It is rather simple with extremely intense ingredients that when added together do a remarkable job of creating a balanced harmony. the Dark N’ Stormy is made with 3 ingredients. For the sake of not wanting legal action to be taken against us, the Dark N’ Stormy is made with ginger beer, fresh-squeezed lime juice, and is to be topped with only Gosling’s Dark Seal Rum. The reason for this is that the Dark N’ Stormy recipe has been trade-mark protected by Gosling’s and is fiercely protected by the family-owned company in order to protect its brand. In a New York Times interview, when talking about other rum brands attempting to use their rum in Dark N’ Stormy recipes, Malcolm Gosling Jr. stated “They’re really just trying to cheat and to capitalize on our investment.”
